Copper Penny Flowers is joining Fleurs de Villes, and Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts to produce an extravaganza of a blooming art exhibit.
Fleurs de Villes—flowers of the cities—connects top local florists, designers, growers, and nurseries, providing a platform to showcase world-class talent and stunning art. This week brings their second show to Boston–ARTISTE at the Prudential Center September 18-22.
To experience this free event, pick up a map at Boston’s Prudential Center and explore 15 mannequins wardrobed in one-of-a-kind fresh floral designs inspired art from MFA’s renowned collections from around the world and including artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Mary Stevenson Cassatt, Vincent Van Gogh, and John Singer Sargent. Our inspiration piece is an inked panel titled Tearoom by the Japanese Artist Saeki Shunko, part of the MFA’S Asian Collection. Participating fleurists are tasked with creating a three-dimensional companion piece of flower art using natural materials, and over 50% fresh flowers and greens. Come see our interpretation! Other floral installations can be found at Prudential Center eateries and additional MFA-inspired floral mannequins will be on display at other locations including Boston Marriott at Copley Place and the Sharf Visitor Center at the MFA.
With experience producing over 50 shows in 23 cities across for countries, last year, Fleurs de Villes brought the VOYAGE tour to Boston. This year, the ARTISTE tour will include Boston, Toronto, Dallas, Chicago, Vancouver, Atlanta, and Edinburgh.
