It was the best of times…it was the season of Light…we had everything before us…
—Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
Of course Dickens wasn’t writing about our two Copper Penny Flowers brides, the Giles Sisters, but it’s a perfect description of these gorgeous weddings. Kaitlyn and Eileen both chose to have their ceremonies and celebrations on the Middlesex School campus where their mother Katherine was Head of School. The picturesque 350-acre campus has been a Concord, MA, landmark for over a century.
Older sister Kaitlyn, the first to be married, wanted bold, fun and punchy—a tropical palette brightly showcased in the bridal bouquets, and the ceremony wreath later beautifully repurposed to display the cake and compliment the cake flowers.
Two years later, younger sister Eileen chose lush, blue-hued and gardeny—a woodland palette elegantly showcased in the bridal bouquet, the wreaths the bridesmaids carried, and the garlands and tablescapes at the reception.
At Copper Penny Flowers, this is a tale of two wedding floral themes we adored. What beautiful visions do you have for your wedding tale? We can’t wait to be a part of your love story…
