Once upon a time there were three sisters, Celeste, Cornelia, and Caroline. The sisters grew up in a town called Concord and then decided to get married one right after the other. Who did they choose for their wedding flower designs? (C where this is going?!) Copper Penny Flowers!
Celeste kicks off the weddings in June 2022 at the charming Concord Country Club. She chooses a classic look with a sophisticated bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas, and peonies and a color palette designed to feature white and blue hydrangeas, her favorite flowers, with a touch of blush. Celeste remembers, “It truly was the wedding bouquet of my dreams and when you gave it to me, it was surprisingly the only moment that day I shed tears because it was just so truly perfect, and everything became real. I wish flowers didn’t have to die…”
Cornelia is next in September 2023 celebrating her event at the deCordova Museum. She embraces natural, garden-inspired designs and a tear drop bouquet featuring blooms in white, pale yellow, and her favorite color, periwinkle. Cornelia, who volunteers at the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C., later thanks Jen and the team for creating “such beauty” on her wedding day. “What an amazing surprise to see cornflowers…The ceremony arrangements were glorious, and I wish I could stare at them all day.”
Caroline’s wedding is coming in September of this year with plans for an outdoor ceremony and reception. Her choice for florals echoes the wildflower days of late summer featuring buttery yellow blooms with sage and deeper green foliage.
Jane Hall, the mother of the three brides, says Copper Penny Flowers is two for two with their family weddings, and well on the way to finish three for three. Jane confides, “I had a small wedding. I am no wedding expert.” But when describing the weddings of her daughters, she names the flowers as the loveliest part. “Jen listens very carefully and is so knowledgeable. She is artistry and knowledge.”
